Speaking this month we have:- PatCat returns to show the growing possibilities of web-based virtual reality (WebVR) and how it can be mixed with the Internet of Things! Demos shall ensue.
- Boyd Murray will give a talk on IoT deployment in Australia and cover a history of IoT, IoT technologies, hardware examples and what's happening in the Australian scene.

We'll have Craig Murphy giving us a brief history of IBM in the IoT space and their contributions to the open source community. This will be followed by Vincent Abbosh from IBM giving a talk / demo about controlling a robot through Node-Red and IBM's Bluemix IoT services. The first talk tonight is from Amazon Web Services. AWS will be on-hand to talk about the AWS Cloud and the services it offers in the IOT space. AWS will also go through some live demos and will have the ‘Simple Beer Service’ keg powered by the AWS Cloud. AWS Account Managers and Solution Architects will be available afterwards to mingle with and ask whatever questions you may have.The second talk will be from SkyGrid. SkyGrid are an IoT startup currently participating in Telstra's accelerator program MuruD. This talk showcases some of the challenges and triumphs of bringing a new IoT product to market, the technical development that has gone into their first solution, and a small bit of what is next to come

Tonight we'll have Renald Gallis from Thinxtra to introduce Sigfox, the LPWA network for Internet of Things, being deployed in ANZ (already present in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland and covering 85% of the population by mid 2017). Speaking tonight will be Donna Forlin from The Yield.The Yield is an Australian Startup that is using IoT to transform Australian Agriculture. We are creating solutions that can leverage the power of IoT, real time visibility and deceptively simple user interfaces to bring the next wave of technology to the food industry.
We'll also have Shaun Price speaking on IoT and security.
With the explosion of the Internet of Things many are asking for ways to secure our devices and systems in an environment where security incidents are growing exponentially. Shaun will walk us through the threats and propose a model for managing security for the Internet of Threats

Jeremy Harkins will cover how gaming technology is currently being used to access and contextualise data related to the built environment. By linking live data from sensors and devices and integrating design and engineering documentation to make a virtual space.Shaun Price will be showing us an LoRaWAN working prototype.
Ronald Haverman will be providing a short update on what the Things Network are doing with bikes in The Netherlands.

The first talk will be from Paul Fox on how AGL New Energy are deploying IoT enabled solar, home batteries and air conditioners.The AGL IoT team will talk about the use cases, technology stacks and future plans.
Second will be Manuel Betancurt on a proof of concept for a home automation/security solution, based on node-red.
Note that AGL is also hiring to expand their IoT team and AGL folks will be on hand if you have questions.
